Returning from his recent controversial sendiing-off, Capitan Cellini led the way for Ajax today with two early goals, the first from a Diego-Ale assist and the second from another Ale assist. Alessandro himself added a third while, at the other end, Giovanni rattled the bar with a long shot from his own half. City did manage to shake things up later on: Dani was lively up front and danced around Trym to score goal and give City some hope, but Diego snuffed it out soon after with a fourth for the Dutch champions. Antonio nipped in with a sneaky header for number 5 and the scoring was completed with Gabriele's cool finish and Antonio's second.
