A rampant Giovanni blasted in three goals, decided the game and sent a clear message to everyone that Arsenal is the team to beat in this term's Intramural Championship.Giovanni opened the scoring after 6 minutes and followed up with a second two minutes later, controlling the ball, rounding the goalkeeper and gunning the ball into the top corner.
Simone had chances to reopen the game but shot wide and Oliver's 'goal' from a restart was disallowed because play had not re-started. Giovanni could have bagged another goal or two before half time and Tim was close too with a lob just over the bar.
Giovanni came out in the second half with all guns still blazing. A fierce shot crashed down off the bar (was it in?) but he did score a third goal later on. Oliver had numerous chances and numerous misses, none more glaring than the last one which he missed from 1 meter out!
