Far from the classic encounter normally seen when Germany meets Italy, this game was one of the poorest witnessed in recent months.Germany had the first decent chance when Player of the Match Rocco freed Giovanni on the edge of the penalty area but he shot over the bar. All Germany's good early defending was then undone when Matteo took off on a solo run down the left and scored to send the Italians in 1-0 at half time.
Germany equalised early in the second half when Rocco drove home an indirect free-kick awarded for time-wasting. Italy tried to react but were stung on the break when Marco, the German captain, scored with a well-taken volley off a throw-in.
Dariush and Matteo continued to attack but the Italians showed little teamwork. Emilio then turned on a loose ball in the penalty area to make it 3-1 and Giovanni rounded off the scoreline two minutes from the end.

Da quando si fa un campionato senza la possibilita' di tempi di recupero di tempo sprecato dai furbi.
