Ambrit Girls 0-0 Ambrit Teachers

An exciting match dominated by the teachers' team finished goal-less, thanks mainly to the Girls' Player of the Match, Hannah, who frustrated every attempt by the teachers' Player of the Match - Miss Pringle - who delighted the onlookers with a fine display of footballing skills.
The game's first chance fell to Miss Alida when she was put through by a clever reverse pass from Miss Eleanor but Alida pulled the ball wide. Miss Pringle's free kick a few minutes later was wide too and Miss Eleanor might have scored before half time but Beatrice made an excellent tackle before she could shoot.
The introduction of Miss Thonh-That, Miss Cianni and Miss Westelaeken at half time gave the teachers another boost. Miss Cianni immediately opened the defence with a precisely hit pass to Miss Pringle and her well-placed shot was well saved by Hannah. Immediately afterwards, Miss Beeton found Miss Pringle free in the box; she turned well and got a shot in but Hannah's positioning was perfect.
Miss Pringle received another ball on the left soon after, controlling it with the outside of her foot and volleying a shot just over the bar.
And then came the game's most controversial moment. Miss Pringle got another shot in, this time from the right and this time managing to beat Hannah's outstretched arm. Would the ball have gone in? We will never know because Miss Thonh-That (henceforth to be known as Diego Thonh-That Maradona) decided to help it over the line with her hand!
