Milan 1-4 Lazio

Missing Joel and Alex P today, Milan struggled to contain a rampant Lazio. A lot of early pressure was finally rewarded when Mikel turned well in midfield and found Ricky who played a perfect pass to Miguel: 1-0. Giacomo almost made it 2-0 but Ludo made a good save and then Mikel's follow-up shot struck the bar. But Milan were pinned back again soon after and Miguel tapped in a second goal.
He almost finished his hat-trick but ludo made another good save and then, finally, Milan managed a goal when a good Daniel/Tommy/Daniel combination was well-finished by Daniel.
But Lazio were not to be denied: as others tired, Jacopo seemed to get fresher and fresher. He scored the third and set up Ricky for the fourth to fire Lazio into the final against Inter!
Best Player Points: Jacopo 7, Edoardo 6, Daniel 1, Ludovico 1, Mikel 1, Tommaso 1, Alessandro 1, Miguel 1, Augusto 1, Giacomo 1, Ricky 1

u13 ANSPI: C H A M P I O N S A G A I N !!!!!

A slow start for the Ambrit team in the first period against Casaletto. Nikos scored the 1-0 on a rebound ball from a shot taken by Mateo. In the second period, Ambrit pressured their opponents and managed to score 5 goals. ( Nikos, Taki with a header from paul’s corner kick, Pietro clean shot from midfield, Ludovico moved up to striker and got one in the goal, Taki scored off an assist from Ludovico) ending the second period 5-0.
The last period Casaletto managed to score two goals but Ambrit responded with 2 more goals of their own (Zach with a great assist from Mateo  and William following shot from Zach). Ending the game 7-2 and making sure of another ANSPI title!

Inter 1-1 Roma (5-4 after penalties)

Right from the start, this finely-balanced contest looked like it might go to penalties; in fact, the game's best three players finished on the losing side!
Roma, the favourites, started well and Michele and Guillermo had several shots early on. In fact, it was Michele who won possession in midfield and played Guillermo in for the first goal, finished clinically by the Spanish ace.
Inter equalised shortly afterwards, another cunningly executed corner kick by Cristian which Saverio was unable to block.
Later on, both sides had chances, the best of them falling to Dylan when a Saverio save fell to him on the edge of the penalty area but his shot was wide and the teams went to a penalty shoot-out.
Only one kick was missed and that was enough to decide the tie.

Lazio 3-0 Fiorentina

Fiorentina bows out of the competition, overcome today by an in-form Lazio who now progress to he semi-finals.
Stiff defence kept Lazio at bay for 12 minutes but Ricky's clever poke opened the scoring and closed the door on the girls who attacked only rarely. Jacopo added two more goals.

Chelsea 2-1 Man. City

PLAYER OF THE MATCH POINTS:
Gaia 4, Annie 4, Lucy 3, Chanel 2, Michelle 3 Carolina 1, Sofia DM 1, Virginia 1.

10.5.19

Chelsea 2-0 Liverpool

With two players missing today, Liverpool struggled to contain a Chelsea side containing a lot of players with something to prove. Strong play from Virginia in defence, from Annie in midfield and from Michelle up front brought two goals - both struck by Michelle, the first a cracker.
Liverpool competed but couldn't make up for the two-player deficit.
BEST PLAYER POINTS:  Michelle 4, Giorgia 4, Annie 3, Virginia 2, Emma 2, Eleonora 2, Lucy 1, Carolina 1, Millie 1, Yutong 1

Arsenal 0-0 Liverpool

This mid-table clash, not surprisingly, finished in a draw. The main battle was in midfield, where Selina and Giorgia fought Ameli and Noor for possession but chances up front were few and far between. Neither side is out; neither side can be sure of a place in the final. Still all to play for!

Roma 6-0 Milan

Roma fielded two of Ambrit's successful Med Cup team against a depleted Milan and ran out easy 6-0 winners. Michele opened the scoring when Joel misjudged a long shot (a rare mistake from Joel who played really well today). Filippo followed up a shot from Michele that was saved to make it 2-0 and Lorenzo hammered home a fantastic third. Filippo's fourth was even better; a good tackle, some good dribbling and a cool finish.. Guillermo added two more very well-taken goals.

u11 ANSPI: San Leonardo 2-6 Ambrit

Ambrit played some of their best football of the season in the first period of this game - snappy passing, good pressing, quick shooting. Dylan put us 1-0 up; Adam scored the second, Vittorio the third; and the bar was struck twice.
The second and third periods were quieter but Pedro scored a hat-trick and Carlo had a few excellent attempts.

u14 RISA league for Boys - last round!

Game 1: Ambrit 4-0
After many missed shots Ambrit first goal was scored by Dylan. Ambrit continued to take shots, with some spectacular bicycle kicks from Dylan and a kick from midfield from Pietro that didn't quite make it to the goal. The second goal was scored by Alex P, who dribbled all the way from the Ambrit goal to the opponents goal. The third goal was scored by Alex P in the pretty much the same way, making the score 3-0. The last and 4th goal was scored by Augusto, who received the ball from Alex P and scored from the far right corner.

Game 2: Ambrit 1-3 St George's Blue
The second match was a friendly which started out with a goal from Dylan who got an assist from Augusto. The rest of the match didn't go as planned, St.Georges' caught up with Ambrit and scored their 1st goal. Soon after that goal, two more followed. The Ambrit boys tried taking more shots but couldn't score and in the end the game finished with a St.Georges 3-1 victory.

Game 3: Ambrit 2-5 St George's Red
St.George's scored in the first minutes but a goal from Alex P from a corner equalised soon after. Since the two teams were tying, St.Georges took a risk and tried scoring from midfield and they went 2-1 ahead. Alex P was determined to score Ambrit's second goal but only managed to hit the post. Finally Ambrit did equalise with a goal from Adam, but after that goal in a matter of 5 minutes St.Georges scored 3 more goals. Now being close to the end of the game Ambrit  tried recuperating, but unfortunately the match ended with St.Georges winning 5-2

Game 4: Ambrit 2-4 New School
Ambrit started their last match tired but managed to keep the game going. Infact the match started with a goal from Dylan. Then, in an attempt to kick the ball away from goal, Pietro scored an own goal. The match now 1-1, both teams had to step up their game. Unfortunately New School managed to score 3 more goals after the little incident. The match now at its last minutes was going to end 4-1, but Ambrit was awarded a goal when in an attempt to change the ball, the New School goalie put one of the balls in his own goal. The match then ended with a victory of New School 4-2

u13 ANSPI: San Girolamo 1-2 Ambrit

The game started off badly with a goal from San Girolamo. The Ambrit boys took a few shots in the attempt to recuperate. In the end Pietro managed to score a goal, making it 1-1, and this was followed by a second goal from Giacomo. This goal ended the 1st period.
he second and third period were used to protect the goal, the Ambrit boys focused on maintaining the score the way it was without risking it. The plan worked out and in the end Ambrit won 2-1.

Lazio 7-1 Napoli

An unstoppable Ricky led his team to an easy victory today, bagging five goals himself in a 7-1 win.
Jacopo scored the other two, taking advantage of the space in a Napoli team missing two players. Giacomo contributed to opening up the space too, with a lot of good passes and runs off the ball.
BEST PLAYER POINTS: Edoardo 6, Riccardo 5, Jacopo 4, Giacomo 3, Andrea 2, Miguel 1

u11 ANSPI: Ambrit 3-1 Santos

It was one of those games: Ambrit were terrible early on, fell behind but then showed great character to come back and win the game against th team just ahead of them - for the moment (!) - in the table.
In the first period, Ambrit's passing was awful and, having given the ball away constantly, it was no surprise when Santos went 1-0 up. Indeed, it would have been 2-0 before the break had Adam not made a brilliant save.
The introduction of Alberto in the second period signalled a marked improvement and Tiago continued to batter the opposing defence on the right. Adam added his touch and intelligence to the mix and then he added another headed goal to put the sides level going into the third period.
Now it was Bertie's time to shine. He took over in attack and made a huge difference straight away, never giving the defenders a moment's rest and playing lots of good passes to companions. He capped it when Alberto played him through and he poked the ball past the goalkeeper: 2-1 to Ambrit!
Santos tried to get back into the game but Ambrit were now in charge. More pressure in midfield led to an Ambrit free kick and Alberto banged it home to seal the victory!
AMBRIT: Adam, Carlo, Leo, Pedro, Nicholas, Dylan, Vittorio, Alberto, Cameron, Bertie, Tiago

AMBRIT GIRLS CHAMPIONS!!!

St. George's A - Marymount 2-1

Ambrit - St. George's B 2-0 (Annie (R) Michelle)

Marymount - St. George's B 2-0

Ambrit - St. George's A 2-1 (Annie)
Miracolo!

St. George's A - St. George's B 4-3

Ambrit - Marymount 2-1 (Annie, Flavia)

u13 ANSPI: Guadalupe 2-5 Ambrit

Ambrit faced Guadalupe for this important ANSPI match, with a double header against close rivals San Girolamo coming up next week.
The first period started slowly with a few shots from Guadalupe, but with no result. Starting the 2nd period, Ambrit got a few shots in and, off a throw in/assist fromZach, Nikos managed to score.
With an assist from Joel, Bernardo managed to score Ambrit’s second goal and the team started to loosen up. Bernardo scored again off another Nikos assist and then Bernardo returned the favour, setting up Nikos for Ambrit's fourth.
Joel played in Will for Ambrit’s 5th goal and in the last period Guadalupe managed to put in 2 goals.

u11 ANSPI: Testaccio 3-5 Ambrit

Ambrit came through a tough test last Friday as they faced Testaccio in the hostile environment of Via Bodoni.
A flying start saw Alberto put the team 1-0 ahead off a Vittorio corner. Alberto followed up with a second, this time with his right foot but Testaccio pulled one back: 2-1.
Dylan restored the two goal cushion just before the break with an excellent run and shot.
The second period began with a Testaccio goal and it took a while for the team to settle down. Vittorio struck a fantastic free-kick but a defender on the line somehow kept it out. Three minutes later, Vittorio took a throw-in and Adam scored with a clever looping header over the goalkeeper. Carlo had another fantastic game in defence and almost scored with a fierce drive when the ball broke from a corner.
The pressure from the home side was relentless in the third period but Ambrit coped well and Cameron scored to relieve the pressure. Testaccio pulled one more back but Ambrit took the three points and remain in the top four!
AMBRIT: Jonah, Vittorio, Carlo, Dylan, Alberto, Cameron, Tiago, Leo, Adam

Fiorentina 0-0 Napoli

A well-organised Fiorentina frustrated Napoli today and held on for a well-deserved point. Anthony managed to fire lots of shots but those on target were capably dealt with by Virginia while Annie bossed the midfield. The best chance of the game fell to Anthony after a neat one-two with Andrea but Virginia did enough to put him off. Fiorentina had a chance to steal all three points at the end when Louis handled outside the area but Annie's shot was blocked.
BEST PLAYER POINTS: Virginia 4, Annie 4, Anthony 3, Andrea 3, Selina 2, Massimo M 1, Sofia dM 1, Michelle 1, Ottaviano 1, Taki 1

u11 ANSPI: Ambrit 3-3 Vigna Pia Bianca

A roller-coaster ride of a match at Ambrit Stadium tonight with two sides who punched and counter-punched right to the end.
Ambrit terrible in the first period; half-tackles, no communication, no determination, no control, no thought. Vigna Pia deservedly went in 1-0 up. Only Dylan played well in this first period.
A different Ambrit came out for the second period. Pedro was majestic on the left; Carlo was like a lion again in defence and Vittorio was, as usual, everywhere. Tiago and Bertie pressured the defence. For a while though, it seemed that Ambrit would not score. Three times Vittorio shot and there times the goalkeeper made great saves. Vittorio banged in some great corners too and Bertie and Tiago should really have scored. But Ambrit did finally equalise when Pedro followed up a loose ball and banged it in. Minutes later, Tiago took a quick throw to Vittorio and his shot from distance put Ambrit ahead at the second interval, thanks also to some great saves from Jonah.
The third period was a tricky one for Ambrit. Vigna Pia stepped up the pace, equalised and then went ahead as the Ambrit defence and midfield stood off and gave them too much time to shoot. The referee then awarded them a penalty but, luckily, it was kicked wide. Then a last supreme effort allowed Alberto to get forward and score the equaliser and Ambrit finished the game on a high, looking for a late winner.
AMBRIT: Adam, Jonah, Nicholas, Vittorio, Carlo, Leo, Pedro, Dylan, Cameron, Bertie, Alberto, Tiago

Milan 2-0 Fiorentina

An enthralling game today between a disciplined and innovative Milan team and a hard-working Fiorentina. Milan dominated possession and created a lot of scoring chances. Tommy, current leader of the scoring charts, converted two of the chances but Virginia was superb in goal. She threw herself to the left, to the right, blocked high shots, blocked low shots and organised her defence. A masterful display of goalkeeping.
BEST PLAYER POINTS: Virginia 6Daniel 4, Tommy 4, Sofia 3, Alex P 2, Annie 2, Amelie 1

Ambrit Girls' Team at ROMA CUP

Ambrit - St. Stephen's A 0-4

FINALE 3° POSTO: Ambrit - St. Stephen's B 1-0 (Noor)

18.3.19

Casaletto 2-5 Ambrit

Ambrit faced Casaletto with great confidence and secured 2 goals in the first period. Mateo scored the first with a header from a throw in, followed by Nikos with a great shot to the left corner.  The second period saw Nikos and Mateo put in 2 more goals, leaving Casaletto frustrated, but the home team got their chance in the third period and pulled two goals back. Eric, playing in attack scored the final goal!

15.3.19

Lazio 2-1 Inter

With a full squad today, Lazio showed what might have been as they turned over an Inter team that has been winning recently.
Early exchanges produced no goals and Ricky's header was probably the best chance but it was well saved by Virginia, guesting in goal.
Virginia could do nothing about Jacopo's opener though when he followed up on a rebound to slot it into the bottom corner.
Lazio celebrations were short-lived: Inter equalised immediately from the kick-off when Paul bundled in Cristian's long ball.
The game's winner was struck by Mikel and Inter's search for an equaliser ran out of time.
BEST PLAYER POINTS: Alex D 4, Mikel 3, Paul 3, Jacopo 3, Edoardo 2, Cristian 2,  Giorgio 2, Giacomo 1, Dylan 1, Ricky 1

14.3.19

Arsenal 1-1 Manchester City

u11 ANSPI: CRIS 5-1 Ambrit

With some key players missing and with no substitutes to call on, Ambrit were overwhelmed by the home side in Saturday's encounter against CRIS, who have now won all 13 matches played so far this season.
Down 3-0 at the first interval and 5-0 at the second interval, Ambrit's team was still capable of digging deep and finding the reserves and the will to 'win' the last period 1-0 with a goal from Pedro. Bravi!
AMBRIT: Adam, Vittorio, Carlo, Pedro, Nicholas, Alberto, Tiago

8.3.19

Inter 0-0 Roma

An absorbing game today and a rare scoreless draw that sees both teams reasonably sure to qualify.
Very few goalmouth incidents - a long shot just over from Cristian, a good Michelangelo save from Michele, a long shot from Pietro.
BEST PLAYER POINTS: Lorenzo 3, Cristian 2, Guillermo 2, Paul 2, Michele 2, Alex D 2, Pietro 2, Filippo 2, Dylan 1, Elias F 1, Giorgio 1, Marco 1

u13 ANSPI: Real Muratella 5-6 Ambrit

In an exciting match tonight Ambrit went ahead early, found themselves pulled back to level scores near the end and were rescued in the last minute by Taki!
In the first period, goals were raining down. Pietro put Giacomo in for the first; Ludo put Tommy in for the second; Muratella pulled one back and then Giacomo made it 3-1. Giacomo went close with a header and then missed a chance in front of the goalkeeper before Pietro - today's Man of the Match by a country mile - put the team 4-1 up with Goal of the Month: a perfectly struck shot from 25 meters out that flew into the top corner!
In the second period, Muratella scored earlier but then Tommy put Giacomo in for the fifth goal and it looked like the Ambrit boys were cruising again at 5-2. But that became 5-3 and the team was tired heading into period 3.
Muratella scored again to make it 5-4 and the team now looked nervous. Muratella continued to attack and, when the ball fell to their right-sided midfielder, he banged it home to make it 5-5 amid wild celebrations.
But Ambrit continued to attack and continued to believe they could win. Tommy won a corner and took it himself, a well-struck ball to the far post... and arriving like a speeding train at the far post was Taki, who made no mistake and bundled the ball over the line for a hard-fought victory!
AMBRIT: Bernardo, Elias, Ludovico, Giorgio, Joel, Pietro, Tommaso, Giacomo, Taki

Liverpool 1-0 Manchester City

PLAYER OF THE MATCH POINTS:
Emma 3, Eleonora 3, Selina 2, Naomi 2, Sofia DM 1, Gaia 1, Carol 1, Clio 1.

Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal

Roma 5-0 Juve

Following their traumatic defeat in Madrid on Tuesday, another heavy defeat in the league leaves Juve chained near the bottom of the table as we head into the Spring break. Guillermo was in fine form early on for Roma. He harried the defenders and forced two mistakes, one of which he put wide but the other he tucked into the back of the net.
He made it 2-0 soon after when Michele played him through with a perfect pass. Juve tried to reply. Pietro shot over and Gavin shot wide but it was Roma who continued to make the better chances.
Virginia made great saves from Michele and from Guillermo but Filippo flicked in a corner to make it 3-0.
Gavin tried hard and got some shots in but just of target. Mateo had a chance too but Michele made no mistake when he fired in the fourth. The icing on the cake was Saverio's fifth goal, a reward for some insistent play.

u11 ANSPI: Ambrit 3-1 Vigna Pia

Ambrit's positive run of winning games continued at Ambrit Stadium tonight against derby rivals and second-place team, Vigna Pia Rossa.
Ambrit dominated the opening minutes and Alberto scored a goal to make sure that their positive start was rewarded. Adam, in goal for the first period, made a fantastic save to keep us ahead and Tiago made it 2-0 before the break off a great Vittorio assist. Tiago had a great game in this first period; his speed, aggression and determination kept the whole Vigna Pia defence occupied for large periods and opened up spaces for everyone else.
Dylan went into goal for the second period and immediately made a great save. The 'new' midfield of Jonah and Nicholas slotted in very well and both of them were all over the place, making excellent tackles. Anything that got through was ably dealt with by Carlo, Padro and Vittrio in defence, all of whom kept good positions and intercepted the opposing tackles with timely runs and decisive tackles.
Alberto first spurned a good chance to put the team 3-0 ahead but he made up for it later with a fine shot into the corner.
Ambrit kept the game under control in the third period. Jonah went into goal and made a good save when one-on-one against the opposing centre-forward and he could do nothing about the high lob that beat him later on.
AMBRIT: Adam, Carlo, Vittorio, Pedro, Dylan, Alberto, Cameron, Tiago, Bertie, Nicholas, Jonah

Milan 1-0 Inter

This derby was a scrappy affair. Given the amount of talent on the pitch, it was a poor game. The first real chance fell to Cristian after 9 minutes but his lob was high. Four minutes later, Alex D tried a long shot but Joel was alert. Daniel scored the only goal of the game, his fiercely-struck free-kick too hot for Cesare to handle.
BEST PLAYER POINTS: Daniel 6, Ludovico 3, Dylan 3, Joel 2, Augusto 1, Raffaele 1, Michelangelo 1, Massimo S 1, Alex P 1, Alex D 1, Cristian 1

u13 ANSPI: Ambrit 7-4 Trigoria

Ambrit kept up the pressure on San Girolamo at the top of the table with another win on Saturday.
The first period was well played by Ambrit. Quick passes and great ball control saw us up by 4 goals - Nikos first with an assist from Pietro, followed by Pietro scoring a the second goal a few seconds later. Giacomo put in two more before the end of the first period.
Trigoria got their chance to score in the second period and Zach responded, putting one back in their net. Nikos with great confidence shot two great goals from midfield giving the goalie no chance. With no subs, Ambrit played the third period tired which allowed Trigoria to score 3 goals finishing the game 7-4

Fiorentina 2-1 Juventus

Fiorentina collected their first points of the tournament today against a Juve side decimated by detentions, absence and bad management.
Michelle put the girls 1-0 up early on when sheet a Selina pass superbly with a perfectly-timed strike. Ale N (pardoned today by necessity but will skip next match) equalised with a long shot but Noor turned sharply on an Annie pass and stroked home the winner. Juve had one chance to equalise but Mari made a good save.
BEST PLAYER POINTS: Selina 4, Noor 2, Ale N 2, Gavyn 2, Pietro N 2, Michelle 2, Mari 2, Annie 2, Maisie 1, Emma 1, Amelie 1,

14.2.19

Chelsea 0-0 Man City

Having become accustomed of late to a high standard of play from the girls, a restless crowd today left Ambrit Stadium feeling unsatisfied after a mediocre game. Yes, there was a midfield battle but real chances were rare and, in all honesty, the goalkeepers were never troubled.
BEST PLAYER POINTS: Carolina 3, Michelle 2, Naomi 2, Sofia dM 2, Annie 2, Lucy 1, Alessandra 1, Millie 1, Mari 1, Flavia 1, Clio 1, Chanel 1, Gea 1, Virginia 1, Allegra 1

u13 ANSPI: Ambrit 6-2 Casaletto

Ambrit had a tough start in the first period but Taki was able to get a rebound ball and score his first goal of the season. Soon after, Casaletto scored their first goal as well. Zach managed to get us up by one again before the whistle.
The second period was even tougher as Casaletto pressured Ambrit into defending with not much luck on goals from both sides. Ambrit came back stronger in the 3rd period, gaining their third goal through an own goal off a corner kick. Casaletto responded with their second goal but Ambrit by then was unstoppable, scoring goal after goal. First Nikos, Tommy, and Nikos again ending the game 6-2.

Disciplinary Committee

In their weekly meeting today, the FIGC Disciplinary Committee noted that Ale N and Tommy C, having accumulated two yellow cards, will be suspended for 1 match each.

Roma 4-3 Lazio

Roma followed up their Champions League victory over Porto by narrowly edging out derby rivals Lazio in a game that swung continually from end to end.
It was Lazio though who went ahead when Giacomo struck an early goal with a left-footed snapshot. Miguel could have made it 2-0 immediately afterwards but he shot wide. Rome attacked next; Filippo played in Michele but he too shot wide. Roma's equalizer was supplied by Guillermo when he followed up a Filippo shot that was saved by Ale C.
But Lazio stole back the lead almost immediately. Riccardo laid the ball nicely back to Giacomo and he blasted the ball home again.
Now Roma started to take over in midfield though. Lorenzo played in Filippo whose shot was saved by Ale. Guillermo passed to Michele and his shot too was saved! But then Michele dribbled into the area, was fouled and tucked home the subsequent penalty: 2-2.
Action continued to swing back and forth. From a kick-out, Edoardo passed to Mikel who flicked the ball onto Riccardo and Captain Ricky blasted home. But Roma equalized again with the best goal of the game: Michele passed to Guillermo and he lifted the ball cunningly over the goalkeeper.
Filippo stole the three points near the end. Lorenzo found Michele on the right; his shot was saved by Ale, but Filippo turned in the rebound from an impossible angle.
BEST PLAYER POINTS: Guillermo 4, Edoardo 4 , Alessandro C 3, Michele 3, Lorenzo 3, Riccardo 1, Mikel 1, Giacomo 1, Filippo 1

u11 ANSPI: Casaletto 1-3 Ambrit

No flashes of brilliance on Saturday afternoon but another workmanlike performance sees Ambrit collect another three points as they continue to inch they way up the table to fourth place.
Two own-goals, both the result of a defence under pressure from Vittorio's accurate throw-ins, had the visitors comfortably ahead going into the second period and Vittorio added a third goal before long. The home side managed to pull one back before the second break.
Mr Corcoran threw the goalkeeper's shirt to Jonah for the last period and he didn't disappoint: in fact he thrilled the crowd with a rousing display as he made a series of fine saves to keep the scoreline at 3-1 right to the end!
AMBRIT: Jonah, Adam, Leo, Pedro, Nicholas, Tiago, Dylan, Cameron, Vittorio

RISA FOOTBALL - GIRLS - Second leg

Ambrit B 0 - 7 SGBIS A

GIRONE A
Ambrit A 4-0 SGBIS B (Malena x4)

Marymount A 4 - 0 SGBIS B

Ambrit A 1 - 0 Marymount A (Malena)

SEMIFINALI
Ambrit A 3 - 0 Ambrit B (Selina, Malena x2)

SGBIS A 4 - 1 Marymount A

FINALE
Ambrit A 2 -1 SGBIS A (Noor, Annie)

PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT: Selina, imprendibile sulla fascia, insuperabile nei contrasti. Gol, assist e tanta sostanza.

8.2.19

Inter 4-1 Napoli

Napoli had no answer to Inter today and the 4-1 scoreline was a fair reflection of the game.
Cristian scored a hat-trick: his first - a free-kick - took Louis by surprise and his third was a sweet strike straight from a corner that curled to the back post and in. Inter's second goal was a gem too: Alex played a long ball upfield to Dylan and his touch, control, movement and shot were all perfect.
Napoli had few chances: a shot from Anthony, a header from Andrea but nothing of any note until Anthony's last-minute consolation effort.
BEST PLAYER POINTS: Cristian 5, Alex D 4, Dylan 4, Paul 4, Anthony 2, Cesare 2

7.2.19

Arsenal 0-0 Liverpool

PLAYER OF THE MATCH POINTS:
Noor 5, Ameli 3, Selina 3, Carol 2, Allegra 2, Sarah 1, Eleonora 1, Emma 1, Gala 1, Giorgia 1, Rafaella 1.

u11 ANSPI: Ambrit 3-2 San Leonardo

A tense and hard-fought match saw Ambrit coming out on top and means that they leap-frog their opponents into 5th place in the table.
Tiago pounced on a defensive mistake and blasted the ball high into the roof of the net for the only goal of the first period, fifteen minutes in which Ambrit were dominant and should probably have scored more than one goal.
Ambrit continued to play well in the second period, though the visitors were now showing signs of life. Alberto was particularly important in this part of the game, passing well and tackling back. It was Alberto who set Tiago up near the end of the period but Tiago's shot came back off the crossbar.
Still 1-0 going into the last 15 minutes but, 5' into the period, Vittorio rifled a brilliant shot into the bottom corner to give the team some breathing space and, when Alberto nipped in to make it 3-0, it looked like the three points were in the bag.
But then the comeback started: 3-1... then 3-2... and the team were looking rattled. Coach Corcoran called a time-out to settle the team and it was then that Pedro showed his maturity, his courage and his team spirit: "Mr Corcoran, I'll go in goal for the last few minutes".
And he did. And the team settled down. And the team won the game. Bravo Pedro!
AMBRIT: Vittorio, Carlo, Pedro, Leo, Dylan, Cameron, Alberto, Tiago

Milan 3-0 Juventus

Juve's difficult moment continues. Missing Pietro N today and with a small squad, they never really threatened a well-organised Milan.
Sam's shot got past Sofia to make it 1-0. Carlos might have equalised soon after but he blasted the ball high over the bar from point-blank range, a miss equalled in its absurdity a few minutes later by Daniel at the other end. Joel meanwhile was rock solid and stopped two shots from Ale N and a third from Gavin. Alex P combined well with Daniel a few times but each of them put shots wide before Sam stepped up to make it 2-0 off a Daniel assist.
Tommaso sealed his place at the top of the scoring charts with he game's third goal.
BEST PLAYER POINTS: Daniel 4, Alex P 3, Joel 3, Sam 3, Augusto 2, Ale N 2, Raffaele 1, Mateo 1, Gavyn 1, Tommy C 1

4.2.19

u13 ANSPI: Trigoria 1-7 Ambrit

Another convincing win from the 'aspiranti' this week. Nikos scored the only goal of the first period and Ambrit then turned on the turbo for period 2: Giacomo (2), Paul and Mateo contributed to a 5-0 lead with assists from Nikos for most of them.
Trigoria pulled one back early in period 3 but Ambrit added two goals late on.
AMBRIT: Mattia, Bernardo, Nikos, Taki, Zach, Giacomo, Paul, Ludovico, Mateo

1.2.19

Roma 3-0 Fiorentina

After losing 7-1 to Fiorentina on Wednesday evening, Roma got their act together today and won, though not as easily as the scoreline might suggest.
Having got to grips with the three-touch rule, Di Francesco's team began to create some chances - but not before Noor had almost put Fiorentina ahead. Only a good double save from Pietro kept the ball out of the net.
Roma finally broke the deadlock through Guillermo. His first shot was brilliantly saved by Virginia but Guillermo was quicker to the rebound and scored. Roma's other two goals were photocopies of the first. Good shot, brilliant save, rebound, goal... where were the defenders for the second ball??
Elsewhere, Michele smashed a ball off the crossbar and Virginia made lots of saves.
BEST PLAYER POINTS: Virginia 4, Lorenzo 3, Guillermo 2, Pietro dP 2, Elias F 2, Michele 2, Annie 2, Selina 2, Noor 1, Amelie 1
